Would YOU like the chance to own and drive a recreation of Mike Hawthorn's own Jaguar Mk 1 Saloon?
Mike, our first F1 World Champion driver in 1958, used this for racing as well as his personal transport - and it was very much modified to suit his exact requirements. We can do the same for you - Paul Roach is creating ten limited edition "Mike Hawthorn" Mk1 saloons from either good quality saloons supplied to ourselves for modification or sourced full restoration projects. Paul has an in depth knowledge of the Hawthorn Mk1 after interviewing Mike's ex-employees back in the 1990s.
Each car will have a numbered chassis plate to signify its importance together with a special glovebox badge and build history. Each car will have a signed & numbered copy of the Book 'Golden Boy' by Tony Bailey and Paul Skilleter; the book number matching each vehicle.
Chassis #1 is Paul's own car, tested and completed back in the late 1990s. At present, this car is going through a refresh in our workshop and will be available as a demonstrator shortly.
Chassis #2 is our first commission, supplied to ourselves as a genuine early 3.4 drum brake car, well restored back in the 1990s and kept in very good condition. Jaguar World editor Jim Patten will be covering and testing the recreation soon.
